Mattie Mae Smith

Sis. Mattie Mae Smith was born on May 23, 1912 in Union County, Arkansas, the daughter of Tom and Roxie Box Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Her husband Gaddy L. Smith, three sons, Prezell Smith, Linnie Smith and Henry Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories, Three sons, James Darling of Los Angeles, California, Fred Smith and James Smith of Calion, Arkansas; One daughter Ada Lawrence of Calion, Arkansas; Nine grandchildren and forty-one great-grandchildren. Homegoing services for Sis. Smith will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Calion, Arkansas, with the Supt. Lennie Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2005, 9:00am-5:00p.m. and on Saturday, October 29, 2005, 8:00am-12:00p.m. The family will receive friends at the home, 510 Mill Street, Calion, Arkansas.
