Mackie Lee Burgie

Bro. Mackie Lee "Killer" Burgie was born on August 15, 1935 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Garland and Ella Hampton Burgie. He departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eurel Bradley, Cleveland Bradley,Dewitt Bradley, Verdie Bradley and Julia Rhems. He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Janice Rhems of Oakland, California. One uncle, Cleophus Bradley (Gwen) of Ypsilanti,Michigan; two Aunts, Elmetia Hicks of Cleveland, Ohio; and Bennie Bradley of El Dorado, Arkansas; three special cousins, Laverne(Paul)Rainey and Arnold Furlough of El Dorado, Arkansas and Erma (Bobby) Williams of Cleveland, Ohio and a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing Service for Bro. Burgie will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church #2, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Paul Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 25, 2005, 9:00am-5:00pm and Wednesday, October 26, 2005, 8:00am-9:00am.
