Linda Ann Island

Sis Linda Ann Island was born on March 22, 1952 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Nannie Bell Brown Island. She united with New Bethel Baptist Church at an early age where she remained a faithful member. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her father, John Island of El Dorado, Arkansas, One son, David Lee(Kizzie) of El Dorado, Arkansas; One daughter, Melinda Wade (Roy) of San Antonio, Texas; Four brothers, Andrew Charles of San Francisco, California, James Island (Gwenda), Ricky Island and Ibn Abdullah all of El Dorado, Arkansas; Four sisters, Barbara Jean McGuire of Hayward, California, Nadine Island of Stephens, Arkansas, Ella Faye Island and Elizabeth Island both of El Dorado, Arkansas; Seven grandchildren;her Godmother, Mrs. Ella Williams (Ms. Shine) A host of neices and nephews, relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the New Bethel Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bobby Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lotts Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary Staff. The family will be at the home of Mr. David Lee, 535 Jewel Lane, El Dorado, Arkansas.
