Sammy Harris

"Trust in the Lord with all thy heart.." Psalms 3. Sammy Harris was born on May 6,1940 in Union County, Arkansas the son of Phil and Novie Allen Harris. He worked as a Construction Worker for J. Christy Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Charles, Robert, Hester Ray, Phil, Charley, Leon and L. C. Harris; two sisters, Maxine Sheppard and Willie Ruth Lovett, one grandson Andre' McNeal. Sammy leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Deloris Harris of El Dorado, Arkansas, two sons, Kenneth Kirk of Hominy, Oklahoma and Larry Moore(Shun) of El Dorado, Arkansas;one Godson Demarion J. Moore, four daughters, Sandra K. Levingston, Samantha Austin(Alvin), Veronica Willis(Kennie) and Andrea Bridges (Donald) and 13 grandchildren. A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Harris will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Donald Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
