Rev. Lonnie Gentle

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..." Psalms 23 Reverend Lonnie Gentle(Pops)was born on August 30, 1924 in El Dorado, Arkansas the son of Green Lee and Delia Aaron Gentle. He worked for ConAgra Poultry for twenty-four years. He was affectionately known by his co-workers as "Dad". He departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at his residence. He was precededindeath by his parents, a brother Levie Gentle, daughters, Thelma Lee Gentle Turner and Roberta Williams. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 46 years, Arcie B. Gentle of El Dorado, Arkanssa; three sons Tommie Lee Gentle(Rena Faye),Ray Charles Gentle of El Dorado, Arkansas and Bishop Joe Mason(Laretta) of Crossett, Arkansas; three daughters, Alberta McBee(Elmore) of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Wallace(Samuel) of El Dorado, Arkansas and Flora Moody(Joe) of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; two nieces Polly Hicks and Diane Williams; thirteen grand-children,a host of great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Reverend Lonnie Gentle will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Zion Watch Baptist Church , El Dorado, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. D. R. Dredd officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Watch Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation for Rev. Gentle will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 10, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Rev.
