Jerry "Cookieman" Cook

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..." Psalms 23 Jerry "Cookieman" Cook was born on April 7, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico the son of John and Tillie Emma Banks Cook. He departed this life on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the Oakridge Nursing Home, El Dorado, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents,one son Jerome Cook and a brother Ernest B. Cook. Jerry was a member of Union Arc Baptist Church, Dodge City, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Junction City High School, Junction City, Arkansas. He was employed with ConAgra Poultry Company in El Dorado, Arkansas for 28 years in the Maintenace Department. Jerry leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Valerie Cook of El Dorado, Arkansas, a dauther Tanya Cook of El Dorado, Arkansas; one brother John Cook, Jr. of Leesville, Louisiana; one sister Stella Randle of Haynesville, Louisiana; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Homegoing Celebration for Jerry will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011@11:00 a.m. Union Arc Baptist Church, Dodge City, Arkansas with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Intement will follow in the Union Arc Cemetery, Dodge City, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
