"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.. Psalms 23 Sister Doris Marie Williams was born October 22, 1943 in Bernice, Louisiana to the parentage of Cleveland and Doris Idell Williams. She was the 2nd Child of three. Sister Williams started her Christian journey at St. Luke Baptist Church early under the leadership of Pastor Ross McHenry where she faithfully served for a number of years. She subsequently united with Jerusalem Quinn Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Secretary until she relocate to Los Angeles, California. Doris was employed as a cashier at Walgreens. After yearning for the "good life" she returned to her Souther roots in El Dorado, Arkansas and united with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church Family under the leadership of Pastor Barry Dobson, where she remained a faithful member until called into eternity. On August 2, 2011, Doris transitioned to her final resting place where she eternally united with her parents. Her loving memories will be cherished by her loving daughter, Da'Klea Clarinda Rester of El Dorado, Arkansas; one brother, Charles Williams; two sisters, Mary Helen(Leonard)Wainwright and Ada Robinson; two grandchildren, Kendal and Tiana williams, both of El Dorado, Arkansas and a host of friends and relatives who will miss her tremendously. A Homegoing Celebration for Doris will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 12:00 noon with Rev. John Elliott officiating and interment will follow in the New Jerusalem Quinn Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
