"The Lord is my Shepherd,I shall not want..." Psalms 23 Robertine Hinson was born June 29, 1916 to Charley H. and Havannah Smith Roberts. Robertine departed this life on March 14, 2011 at Oakridge Nursing Home, El Dorado, Arkansas. Robertine united in marriage to Mack T. Hinson on November 27, 1934. To this union four children were born. Her husband and three sons preceded her in death, Mack Hinson, Jr., Huey P. Hinson and John R. Hinson. Robertine united with Curry Chapel A.M.E. in 1940 and remained a faithful member until her health failed. She also was a former member of Gardner Chapter #421 Order of the Eastern Star. Robertine loved to fish, she could leave at daybreak and come back at night fully loadded with fish. She also love to garden. Robertine believed in helping people in need and would always make sure there was enough to share from her garden. Robertine worked for a time at Crossett Paper Mill and later for the Strong Clinic. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Delora H. Saunders of Kansas City, Kansas,two sisters, Orine Hinson of El Dorado, Arkansas and Mary Wayne of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters in law, Laura Roberts and Edith Robert both of Kansas City, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, twenty-three great-great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Robertine will he held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Curry Chapel A.M.E. Church in Strong, Arkansas. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cememtery, Strong, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Vistation at the funeral home will be Friday,March 18, 2011 from 9:00a.m to 5:00p.m. and Satruday, March 19 from 8:30-9:30a.m.
